MHI was looking to transition from a traditional private office plan to an all open floor plan.  Employees would now have shared spaces with designated collaboration areas.  The break room was intended to invite employees to gather for small meetings and relaxation time.  All employees would have access to natural daylight from the exterior glass windows with the conversion to the open office plan.  Several conferencing rooms were provided for private conversations that needed a meeting space away from the open area plan.  Decorative lighting was used to designate collaboration spaces and offer functional yet appealing elements for the space.
